**__Please be advised: This event will premiere LIVE on this page at 12:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, December 16.__**

Join 华体会 for an expert panel discussion on the Indo Pacific with a key focus on India's role in the region. The conversation will be moderated by Aparna Pande, Director, Initiative on the Future of India and South Asia.

America鈥檚 global interests have always framed American policies in specific regions. During the Cold War, conflict with the Soviet Union defined America鈥檚 priorities. Today, U.S. policy is driven by peer competition with China. The Indo-Pacific region will remain important to a Biden administration.

India and the US share a similar vision of a free and open Indo Pacific, respecting the centrality of the ASEAN nations, building regional connectivity, and strengthening strategic relations. European countries, primarily Germany and France, have deepened their engagement with the region and with India.
