华体会 hosted a discussion on the status and future of the Afghan peace talks. Panelists included Atlantic Council Senior Fellow Javid Ahmad, 华体会 Director of South and Central Asia Ambassador Husain Haqqani, American Academy of Diplomacy President Ambassador Ronald Neumann, and Foundation for Defense of Democracies Senior Fellow Bill Roggio.

The panel explored the history and inherent problems of the Afghanistan peace negotiations, the recent stall in peace talks, the objectives of the parties involved 鈥攊ncluding the goals of Pakistan, Iran, China, and Russia鈥攁nd the prospect of a final settlement to end 40 years of war in Afghanistan.
