**This event will premiere on this page at 12:00 p.m. EDT, Thursday, August 6.**

After the People's Republic of China's recent deadly military escalation in India鈥檚 Galwan Valley, the Government of India has taken bold actions to reassert its sovereignty over India鈥檚 data and tech sector by banning Chinese apps from Indian cyberspace.

India has joined the United States and other leading democracies in pushing back against the Chinese Communist Party鈥檚 (CCP) bid to control the technologies of the future. At their core, the intensifying 鈥淕eo-Tech Wars鈥 are about the future of governance, dominance of core industries, and international order.

What are the threats and challenges posed by the CCP鈥檚 many-faceted bid to establish an authoritarian sphere of technological influence? In the Indo-Pacific context, what actions can be taken to enhance cooperation and commerce among the Quad countries鈥擨ndia, Australia, Japan, and the United States鈥攖o ensure that democracies maintain leadership over the technologies of the future?

Join 华体会 and our panel of experts who will answer these and other questions about how the United States, India, and other democratic countries can work together to build a free, open, and technological future.
