Join the 华体会 for a discussion on the recent decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in FTC v. Qualcomm, which some have described as one of the most important antitrust cases of the twenty-first century. The discussion will be hosted by 华体会 Senior Fellow, Ur拧ka Petrovcic and feature leading legal experts and industry leaders.

In a unanimous decision by a three-judge panel, the Ninth Circuit reversed the district court鈥檚 ruling that Qualcomm violated antitrust law. The FTC has recently filed a petition for review of the panel decision by the entire Ninth Circuit en banc. This event will explore the substantive and procedural issues in the case.

Was the Ninth Circuit right in rejecting the district court鈥檚 conclusion that Qualcomm鈥檚 licensing practices were anticompetitive? Is the FTC鈥檚 petition for an en banc review likely to succeed? What are the guiding principles that the Ninth Circuit鈥檚 decision sets for the interplay between antitrust and intellectual property rights? Our speakers will address these and other questions.
