China experts were once comfortable describing the People鈥檚 Republic of China (PRC) as 鈥減ost-totalitarian,鈥� but under Xi Jinping the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has used big data and artificial intelligence to build a new kind of totalitarianism.

In his new book, Strittmatter looks closely at the rise of 鈥渄igital Leninism,鈥� explains how the CCP has perfected techno-tyranny to maintain its grip on power, and explores the global impact of these practices.
